If you already have Visual Studio for Mac Preview installed, make sure you update to the latest version from within the app, otherwise head on over to to download the latest release and checkout the release notes. Edit, going into preferences and selecting Visual Studio as your IDE, and then Assets - Open C Project should work just fine. Simply select the text you want to search and press ⌘ Command + ‘ to read their documentation. This is a full-featured IDE built for the Mac, to help you create anything from mobile and web apps to games. Today at the Microsoft Build conference, we announced the general availability of Visual Studio 2017 for Mac. Since then, we’ve successfully released multiple versions of the Tools for Unity on Windows, but never had the opportunity to bring our tools to Unity developers running macOS. In 2014, we released the first version of the Visual Studio Tools for Unity (VSTU).
